397. END OF MY JOURNEY
IF when you give, the best of your service
Telling the world that Jesus saves
Be not dismayed
When people don’t believe you
Jesus understands He’ll say, “Well done!”
CHORUS
Oh when I come to the end of my journey
Weary of life and battle is won
Carrying the star with the cross of redemption
He’ll understand and say, “Well done!”
This understood that saviour of sinners
Hang on the cross He was God’s only Son
Oh! Here the call His father in Heaven
Let not my will, let Thine be done.
If when this life of labour is ended
And the reward of the earth you have run
Oh take the sweet rest prepared for the
Faithful will be His blessed.
And find her well-done.
If when you try, and fail in your trying
Be not ashamed not be discouraged
Take up your cross
Run quickly to meet Jesus
He’ll understand day say, “well-done!”
