IN the early morning, the sun was high,
As an angry mob gathered round;
Some have come to see Him die,
Some just felt He’s in town;
Was it that He just happened to
Have fallen into evil hands?
What they failed to realise,
It was ordained in God’s plan
So there, they crucified Him.
There, the most holy city of that day
They, the most religious leaders said,
“Take Him away; crucify-“
They did it ‘cause they did not understand,
Him, the greatest gift God ever gave to man.
It’s been almost two thousand years,
Things are about the same;
To think we’ll learn from their mistakes,
I guess some things just never change
They have got Him on the cross again that came
Through evil hands, they don’t want His word today
Like they didn’t want Him then,
So there, they crucified Him
There, the most holy city of that day
(Jerusalem) they the most religious leaders said,
Take Him away, crucify, the word to die,
They did it ‘ cause they did not understand – Him,
The greatest gift God ever gave to man
Long after God’s promises have been fulfilled today;
People are still looking for what God will do in future,
Adulterous generation all searching for some signs,
They’ll not see those signs today
‘Cause they’re not in God’s own plan,
I’m glad, He took me in today.
Today, the most holy temples of the land
(Denominations) today, The most religious leaders say
“He is a false prophet,(so)
Put Him away, don’t take His word” they do it
‘Cause they do not understand,
The truth, and the manifested plans made plain today.
